So I've determined that I'm tired of stuff. I have too much stuff, and I don't want it anymore. My life and my clutter is out of control. I'm going to become a minimalist. Not one of those crazy, don't-even-have-a-cell-phone minimalists, but whatever style of minimalism suits me (and yes, that will probably involve seven bikes). Tonight, between watching an episode of Nip/Tuck: Season 2 on the Netflix Roku player, I managed to make dinner (southwestern mac and cheese with kidney beans and veggies) for $0.53 per serving, and minimalized (is that the proper verb?) the front entryway and living room. I now have one and a half bags of trash, a box to give to goodwill and a full bag of paper recycling. It looks pretty nice in there, other than now I realize I badly have to vacuum the floors. After I have the house de-cluttered, I'm going to start selling off my possessions. Should be interesting!
Tomorrow, I think I might go hit some golf balls at the range. The dining room (which is probably the most cluttered room in the house) is next up, and I'm planning on making some black bean soup. How's that for cheap?

very cool,I was a minimalist in my 20s and 30s. proud to not own furniture in my 20s, just books and clothes. in my 30s I had a futon and dresser and dishes. Now with a combined house we have so much stuff it is overwhelming to me. And Jim thinks if its in the attic its okay to keep it! you will discover you need very little material items to be happy, but keep the bikes, I miss our 12 bike herd!
